Lot (Parcel) Tie or Consolidation
Lot (Parcel) Tie or Consolidation is a process done through ISC (Information Services Corporation).
As part of the process, municipal approval is required. An application form is required to be submitted to the Town Office with as much detail as possible. The application will be reviewed for compliance to the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw. If it complies, the request will be added to an agenda of a council meeting for council approval. A letter will be provided to you with council’s decision.
For additional information on the process and requirements, please contact ISC directly. www.isc.ca
The change to the properties, if completed through ISC prior to November 30th, will be reflected on the next years assessment and taxes. If the process through ISC is completed after this date, the change to the properties will be reflected the following assessment and tax year.
All costs associated with the process, are borne by the property owner. This includes the fees charged by Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) and will be invoiced out to you at the current rate charged by SAMA after the annual invoice is received. The approximate cost is $25.00 per affected property.
Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) is responsible for providing municipalities in Saskatchewan with the assessed values of land improvements (buildings) in order for the municipality to calculate property taxes.
To remove a Lot (Parcel) Tie is through the subdivision process with Community Planning. See Subdivision section for more information.
