Civic Recognition Program 1 

The Town of Regina Beach Civic Recognition Awards are to recognize and celebrate the exponential impact of volunteers and acts of kindness that help shape the culture of our proud community.  Three awards have been established, the Council Award, the Award of Honor, and the Achievement Award.  Each award is unique and has determined criteria as you will note below.

Council AwardCivic Recognition Program 1

Purpose:  To recognize volunteer groups only that have made outstanding contributions to the community of Regina Beach.  This includes sustained, significant contributions in sports, culture, philanthropy, health, social justice or safety.

Criteria:  The recipient must be volunteer run and directed, with the understanding that the volunteer group may have some paid help such as bookkeepers or cleaners; however, they would be principally volunteer driven.

The volunteer organization is established as a Regina Beach volunteer organization.

Selection:  This award will only be granted ot one group annually.  Nominations for this award will be considered by all members of Council at a closed meeting of Council in April each year.  A two thirds vole of all Council members by means of secret ballot is required to determine the award winner.  The recipient of this award will be notified by letter from the Mayor of Regina Beach.  This award will be presented each year at the spring Owners and Tenants Meeting.

Nominations:  Nomination forms for this award may be picked up and returned to the Regina Beach Town Office or submitted online below.  Application deadline is the last day of March each year.

Award of Honor

Civic Recognition Program 1

Purpose:  To recognize individuals of all ages who have made significant achievements in sports, science, or culture at the Provincial, National or International level.

Criteria:  To be eligible for this award, the recipient must have their principal residence or cottage located in the Town of Regina Beach.

Selection:  This award will be granted to one individual annually.  Nominations for this award will be considered by a two thirds vote by means of a secret ballot to determine the award winner.  The recipient of this award will be notified by letter from the Mayor of Regina Beach.  This award will be presented each year at the spring Owners and Tenants Meeting.

Achievement AwardCivic Recognition Program 1

Purpose:  The Achievement Award recognizes individuals who perform a noteworthy deed which has benefited another individual or the Town of Regina Beach as a whole.

Criteria:  This is an individual award.  To be eligible for this award, the individual recipient must have their principal residence or cottage located at Regina Beach.

Selection:  These awards will be given to worthy recipients throughout the year.  Town Council will consider all of the nominations that come forth on a monthly basis at their regular Council Meeting.  Once the nominations are approved, the recipients will receive a letter of commendation from the Mayor on behalf of Town Council as a token of appreciation.
