Ombudsman Saskatchewan
Ombudsman Saskatchewan promotes and protects fairness and integrity in the design and delivery of government services.
"At Ombudsman Saskatchewan, we take complaints about provincial government ministries, agencies, Crown corporations and most health entities. We also take complaints about Saskatchewan cities, towns, villages, resort villages, rural municipalities, northern municipalities, and municipal council members."
If you think you are being treated unfairly or have a concern about services you've received, the first step is to try to resolve it with the public service institution that made the decision. For example, you could:
- Ask them to give you reasons for their decision.
- Ask to speak to a manager.
- Find out if there is an appeal process and try it.
- If you have not taken these steps, Ombudsman Saskatchewan will ask you to do so. If you are not sure what to do next, they may be able to help you understand the options available to you. For more information about resolving issues, see Solving Problems On Your Own.
If you have done what you can to resolve the problem, and you still think the result is unfair, contact Ombudsman to make a complaint.
