South Shore Parks & Rec Programs

Our programs provide places for health & well-being that are accessible by persons of all ages & abilities. Yin Yoga ~ Tuesdays with Kaylee Woolhether~ 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Yin yoga is a slow-moving, restorative form of yoga which counteracts the stronger and more active yang yoga style. In our yin yoga sessions, you’ll be guided through a series of floor-based postures which are held for several minutes. As we soften into each pose for a longer hold, the ligaments and joints of the body are positively affected and you’ll be mindfully guided through breath and meditation- creating a deeply nourishing class for the body and the mind. You’re likely to leave these classes feeling deeply rejuvenated, relaxed, and ready for bed! This class is beginner friendly and open to all experience levels.
Slow Flow Yoga ~ Saturdays with Kaylee Woolhether ~ 9:00 -10:00 a.m.
This is a slower paced flow class synching breath with movement to help calm the nervous system and gently warm up the body. Experience a balancing of the body and mind as you explore flows and poses at your own pace. Join us on a journey back to self as we play with free flowing movements designed to get you in touch with your body. Leave with a sense of calm; prepared and energized for your day! This class is beginner friendly and open to all experience levels.
HathaYoga ~ Thursdays with Ann Saleski~ 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Hatha is the umbrella word for a physical yoga practice. This class focuses on alignment, listening to your body and mindfulness. You will work to improve your mind/ body connection as you build strength and mobility in both the mind and body. The class will include some vinyasa practice as students progress. The class is best suited to students familiar with yoga poses, breath work and meditation.
