Seasonal Water Line Turn ON

Seasonal water line turn-on season will begin no sooner than MAY 1st each year.

2022 Water Turn On season begins Monday, May 2nd

It is the property owner’s responsibility to request the turn on date each year no later than 3:00 p.m. two (2) business days prior to requested turn on date. Please note that availability of requested date is not guaranteed.

The property owner or a representative of the property owner must be present during the turn on. The property owner or representative must be able to provide access to the water meter and a shut off valve at the time of the turn on.

There will be no scheduling of specific times. Rather, it is a block booking system with a choice of a.m. or p.m. Residents will need to make themselves available between the following times:

A.M. block = 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
P.M. block = 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

With the unpredicability of the fall seaon, seasonal water lines are required to be turned off each year by September 30th to prevent any possible damage to lines. The Town will not risk the expense and damage that could occur should the temperature not be warm enough to ensure the water will not freeze. An additional fee of $10 will be charged to the property owner if the required notification is not given, and will be applied to the respective utility account.
