Leah Switzer
Councillor - [email protected]
As a resident of Regina Beach for the last 24 years I would be honoured to represent you as one of your six councillors. For those that don’t know me, I have worked for the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association for 10 years, the last two and a half as the Executive Director. I have two daughters, Kaia and Rayna Thauberger. You may have met them working as your children’s swim instructor or lifeguard at the Wibit.
I believe in giving back to the community you live in and have volunteered on many local committees over the years. In the past I have been a treasurer for Castles & Dreams Preschool, treasurer of South Shore Stinger Volleyball Club, member of Regina Beach Parks & Rec, and was chair of the South Shore School Community Council for 12 years. Most recently I assisted my daughter Kaia with the creation of the local KidSport Lumsden & Area chapter in which I currently serve as secretary.
I will work hard at developing good relationships with council members, committee members, staff, and the public. I will ensure I am listening to the concerns and opinions of the community and will keep an open mind so that I clearly understand all issues prior to making an informed decision. The current council worked hard over the last two years and have made great strides in their mission of repairing our infrastructure, improving communication, and making Regina Beach a beautiful place to live, work, and play. I believe that my background, experience, and interests will be an asset in helping to continue this important work.
I hope that I will have the opportunity to represent you in making Regina Beach a better place to live
