Boat Slips at Main Pier

The Town is aware that many people have been wondering about the boat slips at the Main Pier. Please note that these are a Town community service that costs Regina Beach taxpayers for maintenance. While we do understand that these support businesses within the community, as well as highlights our community, the safety of our community members and visitors is our top priority. Due to the extensive damage to the boat slips, they have not been put out until proper repairs can be completed. These boat slips have been used for many years, with spot repairs taking place annually but many pieces have now been deemed beyond reasonable repair and last winter was exceptionally tough on the yellow guideposts which are now out of alignment.

To replace the docks alone, the cost would be $65,000+ in addition to the costs of realigning the posts, and yearly maintenance is in the thousands. Currently, the first set of slips are in for repair and we are hopeful to have the main dock installed before the end of the season for some use and to ensure that they are ready to go for the earliest timeline for next season; the “finger docks” are beyond repair and will not be available.
