Candle Light Vigil
A small candle light vigil in memory of and to honour the 751 is being organized. It will be at 7 pm on Thursday, July 1st in Kinookimaw. If you wish to attend, it will be at the landing that overlooks the lake, first patch of a bluff to the left of the road. Bring your own candle, some tobacco if you wish to lay it down with your prayers and a drum or rattle if you have one. There is a great deal of love and respect for our First Nations culture, from my friends and neighbours on the south shore. Kinookimaw is a place that still sings with that spirit. Let us all remember and honour those children and light a candle.
