Further in life, he pursued a career in civil construction & maintenance, primarily as the Town Foreman in his hometown of Whitewood, SK for several years. While there, he undertook numerous infrastructure projects including lagoon engineering, new lift station construction, infrastructure replacements & repairs, and more.
Al is experienced in & enjoys working with the public, staff, & town council in a collective effort to maintain & improve existing infrastructure & he brings a passion for innovation where it can create lasting improvements to save costs & create efficiencies, which provides more opportunities for significant accomplishments within the community.
Al enjoys snowmobiling, working in the garage on numerous projects, and of course, barbecuing & smoking meats in his free time! Al’s wife, Catherine (Cate), has a long history of management experience in her professional life & is an established painter who loves to hold teaching classes to show others how they can channel their artistic capabilities. She also loves fishing & enjoys gardening & crafting.
Al & Cate have been met with kindness by everyone they have met to-date & they are looking forward to becoming a part of this community.
