Seasonal Water Line Turn ON Information
*Important information regarding Seasonal Water Line Turn ONs*
Bookings will begin April 11th and turn ONs will begin May 2nd.
The property owner or a representative of the property owner must be present during the turn ON. Public Works & Utilities employees will not complete the turn ON if there is no one present.
There will be no scheduling of specific times. Rather, just like last year, the water turn ON will be a block booking system with a choice of morning or afternoon. The morning block is between 8:00 am to 11:30 am and the afternoon block is between 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
Due to the high call volume experienced in previous years, of over 250 calls in a 2-week period, the Town is excited to announce an additional online option available for requesting water turn ONs and Offs for our residents. The demands of a phone-based booking system require a member, or two, of the town staff is constantly available to handle bookings leaving very little time to meet the demands of that person’s other job duties. The phone booking system also relies on residents calling during office hours only. For many people they simply don’t have the time to book whilst they’re in the middle of their work day. Not to mention the fact that only one to two callers can book at a time. This will not only free up your time but can also free up the staff’s for all the other important daily functions.
The online option will be accessible APRIL 11th through our website at www.reginabeach.ca under the heading “Cottages/Secondary Residences” then under the subheading “Scheduling Your Water Turn Off/On.” In order to assist you, instructions will be attached to the page to make your first time use quick and easy. We do recognize that some residents are unable to book online or are not comfortable with online technologies, and that’s okay, as we will also be happy to take your phone call to book your turn ON.
Please email or call the Town Office if you require any further clarification or have any questions.
We are also excited to announce that you can now sign up for our monthly newsletter. If you are a seasonal resident or have a secondary residence here in Regina Beach, you may not have a mailing address here and would not receive this newsletter as they go out as a mail drop to the post office. The newsletters are always available on the website at www.reginabeach.ca/newsletter, however, you may want to receive them monthly directly to your email box so you never miss out on important news and information. The Sign Up link for this will also be available on our website APRIL 11th under the heading “Cottages/Secondary Residences” then under the subheading “Stay Connected All Year.”
