Water Break Update

Well the Town can certainly understand the frustrations of everyone who are affected by the water breaks, please note that it is difficult for the Town to be in the situation where we are at the limitations of the ability of contractors to complete repairs, who themselves are at the mercy of the weather or if their equipment can run. It has been exceptionally cold, and equipment/hydraulics are not liking the cold and they have had issues with freezing up. Crews were out yesterday working until the equipment froze up, and they have been working on getting equipment running again since.

Unfortunately, there is no magic fix when it comes to underground work in the bitter cold, but please know that crews are doing everything possible to get the repair complete.

Once the repair on 5th Ave & 9th Street East are repaired, work will begin on the 1st Street East break.

Please note that there is water available for residents that are affected by the break. An external tap is available at the Water Treatment Plan on the east wall for those that need.

The Town in its entirety will continue to experience low water pressure until repairs are complete.
