Child Care Centre Director

Classification: Full-time permanent, hourly

Reports To: Board of Directors and Town of Regina Beach CAO

Job Summary:

We are looking for a person who will assist in the initial set-up of the Centre before operations begin.  Centre’s planned opening date February 5, 2024, where successful applicant will commence supervising staff, and organizing daily operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Implement the Policies and Procedures outlined in the Directors Manual

·         Ensure that the Centre is in full compliance with Licensing and Safety Regulations

·         Process paperwork that is required for Licensing

·         Provide guidance and assistance to staff members

·         Supervise and guide daily activities

·         Centre Child Care Programing

·         Arrange staff schedule to manage child to worker ratios

·         Communicate with parents and respond to inquires

·         Manage and purchase groceries and supplies as required

·         Attend and report at all the Sandy Steps Child Care Board Meetings

·         Manage Children’s files

·         Tours of the Centre to parents

·         Ensure the well-being and safety of children enrolled in the Centre

·         Meal Planning

Job Requirements
1.      Certification as an Early Childhood Educator Level 3

2.      Criminal Record Check including a vulnerable sector check

3.      First Aid & CPR/AED

4.      Food Safe Certification

 
Remuneration
The salary range for this position will be based on skills and experience as per our established salary grid.

The pay period is semi-monthly.
